is situated in the heart of the beautiful and vibrant village of Castleton in the Hope Valley It is on the main road at the foot of the historic Peveril Castle and surrounded by countryside and rolling hills.
Built in 1898 with stained glass windows and oak doors and floors, Castleton Methodist Church continues to be an active place of worship. The congregation have re-ordered the building into a venue hosting community training and cultural events. The proceeds help maintain the building and to keep the spirit of the Church alive. The Peveril Centre is a not-for-profit organisation.
The Peveril Centre has several rooms which are available to book throughout the year and caters for all kinds of events. Our team will help you plan which rooms best meet your requirements and offer the warmest of welcomes when you arrive.
The Centre has been used for church and company away days, training course, sponsored event stop-offs, a base for school and college groups on a day visit to the Peak District and away days, Peak Park talks to students from as far away as Hong Kong, birthday parties, concerts and weddings. It is also the base for the local Photographic and Historical societies
